Our trip to Philly

City Hall in Philly, where they used to meet
We went to  Philadelphia for my brother in law Chad's Spring break. Ann, Jason's mom and brother meet us there. We had never driven to Philly so Thursday night we made the drive.  We had to go through toll roads which was interesting.   Jason and I have never been and we wanted to see the sights. We signed up for a scavenger hunt via text that took us around Philly. It was pretty neat.

We also took a tour of Independence Hall which was pretty neat.  It was cool to think I was standing in the same room as where the Declaration of Independence was signed. The next day Jason, me and his mom went to see the Franklin Institute.  It was a cool museum.  We went to eat at a few great restaurants.  We explored the Reading Market in downtown Philly. It was a really cool market place with a little bit of everything.

It was a quick weekend trip but it was fun.  On our way home we stopped by in D.C. to see the Cherry Blossoms.  They were supposed to be at peak bloom a week ago but they were late because of our crazy weather here.  So, there were a few in bloom but not really.  It was a very tourist attraction full of lots of people. It was a fun trip. Glad we went.
